Visas for Qatar

Qatar grants tourist visas at border points for the nationals of the United States of America, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Honduras, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and South Korea and nationals from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which include the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.

Visitors coming from these countries are kindly requested to buy their visas upon arrival at Doha International Airport. The cost for a tourist visa is QR.100 (US$55) and it should be paid through credit card.

Visas for conference registrants not belonging to one of the above nationalities will be processed through the conference organizers. A contact point for this process will be placed online in the beginning of May.

Visas for accompanying persons cannot be processed through the WCSJ2011 conference organizers. They can only be obtained by people belonging to the nationalities mentioned above upon entry at Doha International Airport or for others through the hotel they will be staying at in Doha. In the latter case, accompanying persons must communicate with their hotel as early as possible to have enough time to process visas ahead of travel.
